Synopsis
Ru est inspir¨¦ de l¡¯histoire de Kim Th¨²y (Tinh) ¨¤ son arriv¨¦e au Qu¨¦bec. Apr¨¨s une travers¨¦e p¨¦rilleuse en mer et un s¨¦jour ¨¦prouvant dans un camp de r¨¦fugi¨¦s en Malaisie, la jeune Vietnamienne Tinh et sa famille arrivent au Qu¨¦bec o¨´ elles entreprennent leur nouvelle vie. Gr?ce ¨¤ l¡¯accueil chaleureux de tous, dont la famille qui les parraine, Tinh s¡¯adapte lentement ¨¤ sa r¨¦alit¨¦. Elle surmontera sa timidit¨¦ pour apprendre une nouvelle langue, d¨¦couvrir une nouvelle culture, s¡¯adapter ¨¤ une nouvelle vie au Qu¨¦bec.
Ru is inspired by the story of Kim Th¨²y (Tinh) upon her arrival in Quebec. After a perilous sea crossing and a
trying stay in a refugee camp in Malaysia, the young Vietnamese Tinh and her family arrive in Quebec where they begin their new life.
Thanks to the warm welcome from everyone, including the family who sponsors them, Tinh slowly adapts to her reality. She will overcome
her shyness to learn a new language, discover a new culture, adapt to a new life in Quebec.
